Grand Depart WeekendMidwest Ultra Cycling

Mishigami2026

One lake. One loop. No outside help. Riders set off around the freshwater coastline of Lake Michigan and don't stop until the wheel comes back to where it started. Hundreds of miles of open shoreline, dunes, and quiet two-lane roads - run entirely under your own power.

Live tracking

Follow every rider on FollowMyChallenge

Each rider carries a GPS tracker collected at check-in. Dots move across the map in near real time, so crews, family, and dot-watchers anywhere can see exactly where the field is strung out along the shoreline - day and night, all the way around.

The roads are the reward

Expect long lakeside stretches, dune country, and quiet county two-laners with shoulders that open onto the water. Ride them with the respect they deserve - traffic laws apply at every turn, every mile.

Strictly self-supported

No team cars, no private resupply, no outside aid. Everything you use must be available to every other rider: public stores, gas stations, and public water. If you can't carry it or buy it on course, you don't get it.

Route reminders
  • Run the official GPX - no shortcuts, no course-cutting.
  • Carry lights and reflectives; you will ride through the night.
  • Help is allowed only where it's available to everyone.
  • Lights on, head up, and leave the shoreline as you found it.
